Shaurya Doval leads the principal investment initiatives and deal originations in India.
Mr. Doval was formerly a Director with the principal finance business of GE Capital in London. His key transactions include GE’s equity investments in a number of high profile LBO transactions like: Leisure Link, Armacell, Polypipe and VCST. He also led GE's participation in a number of fund investments of Terra Firma (Fund III), Carlyle Europe (Fund II) and 3i (Euro Fund). He was involved with leading and participating in over US $5 billion of principal finance transactions in Europe and USA.
Prior to GE Capital, Mr. Doval has worked with the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley in London. At Morgan Stanley he was involved with a number of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic advisory, asset divestures and capital raising transactions. Deals include, among others Morgan Stanley’s $1.9 bn equity bid for Thames Water and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation bids for refining assets in S. Asia. He has also worked for over 4 years with Corporate Finance Advisory at Arthur Andersen in India.
Mr. Doval is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a joint MBA Degree from London Business School and University of Chicago. |
