AKPPL is an SPV for developing 1,100 MW Kakinada gas fired thermal power project in Andhra Pradesh, India on build, own, operate basis.
In Aug, 2007, we led the acquisition of 40% share in Athena Kakinada Power Pvt. Ltd (‘AKPPL’) by ZAD Investment Company (‘ZAD’), an investment company controlled by HH Prince Mishaal of Saudi Arabia, as developmental capital.
ZAD invested in AKPPL as a part of its global investment focus in power & infrastructure projects in south east Asia.
